Romantic Road - The Cycle Route - 2010
On your way from Wuerzburg to Fuessen you cycle through three of Germany´s most enchanting holiday areas – Franconia, Swabia and Upper Bavaria. The cycle route runs mainly through gently undulating countryside, at first along the Rivers Tauber and Wörnitz before it crosses the Danube and heads south.
Daily Bike Rental - $30 ITINERARY: As all cyclists are different in their skills we offer a rate for a 5 day-4 night program – with additional day/extra hotel night rates available. Let us know the distance in miles you want to cycle each day, which part of the Romantic Road you want to visit and how many days you have and we will provide a customized itinerary. To assist you in your planning we offer a suggested 5 day itinerary that covers 206 kilometers (128 miles) of spectacular scenery. BICYCLES: For those who do not want to use their own bicycles, we offer rentals. These are street- worthy, all terrain bikes with seven gear transmission, lights and carrier. Please don’t forget to bring your helmet as they are mandatory in Germany and cannot be rented. Please note that if the starting and ending points of your itinerary are not the same, there will be an extra charge for the transportation of the bike back to the starting point. Also, we offer the option of bringing you and your bike back to the starting point with our regular scheduled coach service along the Romantic Road. The schedule and fares are available on request. ACCOMMODATION: We use typical tourist and tourist superior hotels and inns, which offer all necessary amenities for cyclists and include breakfast. LUGGAGE TRANSPORTATION: Your luggage will be transferred from each hotel to the next. Please make sure that you store it at the reception by 9:00 a.m. at the latest. We guarantee that your luggage will be at your hotel by 5:00 p.m.
